Ginger has long been used in traditional medicine. The part of the plant that’s used for these purposes is called the rhizome. While it may look like a root, the rhizome is actually an underground stem off of which roots branch.

Ginger Oil Uses

Ginger oil is extracted from the ginger rhizome after a distillation process. Like other essential oils, it’s very concentrated.

Ginger oil has a distinct aroma that can be described as strong, warm, or spicy. As such, it’s often used for aromatherapy. Ginger oil can also be used in a variety of applications in the skin and hair.

Our Black Turmeric Extract contains all certified organic ingredients including our Black Turmeric grown organically here on our farm. Black turmeric offers benefits similar to our other varieties, but this darker cultivar contains higher concentrations of curcumin than any other Curcuma species.

 

Benefits of black turmeric?

It is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. The root has been used medicinally for centuries to treat arthritis, asthma, and epilepsy. Black turmeric root is crushed and can be applied to bruises and sprains to ease discomfort or applied to the forehead to help relieve symptoms of migraines.

 

ESSENTIAL OIL

“Black Turmeric” Being an anti-fungal and antiseptic, it will dry out the pimples and also prevent further breakouts. Turmeric is often used in anti-marks and anti-spots creams. When used persistently, turmeric oil can fade away marks giving you a blemish-free skin.

Almond

Scientific Name: Prunus dulcis

Almond oil “, the fixed oil, is prepared from either variety of almond and is a glyceryl oleate, with slight odour and a nutty taste. It is almost insoluble in alcohol but readily soluble in chloroform or ether. It may be used as a substitute for olive oil.

The sweet almond oil is obtained from the dried kernel of the plant. This oil has been traditionally used by massage therapists to lubricate the skin during a massage session, being considered by many to be an effective emollient.

Apricot

Scientific Name: Prunus Armeniaca

Apricot oil or apricot kernel oil is pressed from the kernels of the Prunus armeniaca (apricot). Apricot kernels have an oil content of 40-50%. The oil is similar to almond oil and peach oil, both of which are also extracted from the kernels of the respective fruit.

The seed cake is also used separately to extract an essential oil, which contains Amygdalin – a colorless crystalline glucoside.

The oil is chiefly composed of oleic acid and linoleic acid, both of which are unsaturated fats. Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Omega 9, Omega 6, Omega 3, Palmitic acid, Stearic acid are components of the apricot oil .

Bhrami

Scientific Name: Bacopa monnieri

Brahmi oil is a natural substance used in Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India. Typically massaged into the scalp, it is made from extracts of the herbs bacopa monnieri or gotu kola and is usually combined with sesame oil or coconut oil. Proponents claim that brahmi oil can treat certain health conditions, including alopecia areata, as well as improve hair and skin.

Chandan

Scientific Name: Sandal Wood

The oil is very tightly bound within the cellular structure of the wood, so the high heat of the steam causes the oil to be released. The mixture of steam and oil is then cooled and separated so that the essential oil can be collected. This process is much longer than any other essential oil’s distillation, taking 14 to 36 hours to complete, but generally produces much higher quality oil. Water, or hydro, distillation is the more traditional method of sandalwood extraction which involves .

Walnut

Scientific Name: Juglans Regia

Walnut oil is composed largely of polyunsaturated fatty acids (72% of total fats), particularly alpha-linolenic acid (14%) and linoleic acid (58%), oleic acid (13%), and saturated fats (9%). Walnut oil is oil extracted from walnuts, Juglans regia. The oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fatty acids, and saturated fats. Walnut oil is edible and is generally used less than other oils in food preparation, often due to high pricing. It is light-coloured and delicate in flavour and scent, with a nutty quality.Although chefs sometimes use walnut oil for pan-frying, most avoid walnut oil for high-temperature cooking because heating tends to reduce the oil’s flavour and produce a slight bitterness. Walnut oil is preferred in cold dishes such as salad dressings.

Garlic

Scientific Name: Allium sativum

Kalonji

Scientific Name: Nigella Sativa

 Black Seed oil is more concentrated and contains greater amounts of essential fatty acids. Caution should be taken when using low quality imported black seed oil because many oil products are imported and be adulterated or mixed with carrier oils. Some oils coming from the Middle East are extracted with heat and hexane, a petroleum by-product. Always use a product that is labeled as 100%, cold-pressed, solvent free, and packed and sealed by machine.
